Hi, I’m Nora

I’ve worked in PR my entire professional life and have been running the boutique public relations shop Wolf PR since 2011. My undergraduate degree in art and design continues to inform/inspire my current work as a design publicist.

At Wolf PR we specialize in furniture, textiles, lighting, and collectable design. In addition to this we’ve consulted with a wide range of companies, from a Fortune 300 multinational chemical company to DTC cat food start up. We always welcome a diversity of clients.

I’ve also always maintained a small business, enjoying the intimacy and agility that comes from having a nimble and dedicated team.

In 2020 (during the Corona outbreak, no less!) I launched a second business, Wolf Craft, to address PR needs that Wolf PR was not designed to do. I’m particularly excited about working one-on-one with other small businesses to help them tell their stories.

What our clients are saying

“This research is eye opening. You are the queen of the Socratic Method.

If someone had informed me of the conclusions I’m drawing it definitely wouldn’t have had the same impact.”

“I wanted to give you an update. I’m going to host a webinar! I sent the pitch to SheClicks on Friday and they’re delighted with the idea.

I’m also going to be featured on International Living, an online publication for expats with one million visitors per month!

I can feel it in my bones there’s momentum right now!”

 FAQs about Individual PR Consulting

  • Our main goal is to help you build a skill set to create your own media contacts list and media ready content. You will develop a firm understanding of industry standards for assets and familiarity with the range and kinds of media opportunities available for your work and business.

You will learn how to strategically present your projects and products so they’re attractive to the media on your website, as well as on your Instagram, LinkedIn, newsletter, etc. With our guidance, you will work holistically across your whole content ecosystem to help get media attention for all you do.

Content development is built into your individualized PR consulting process because content is how you communicate what you do and your unique point of view. It is another way you can add value for your editorial contacts and utilize assets you've already created.

Our 1-1 PR consulting services are totally tailored to your specific needs, so there is no set order or list of topics but some of the big themes include:

+ media outreach strategy (public relations)

    + newsletter strategy

    + social media strategy

    + determining media placement opportunities

    + competitor auditing

+ general timeline and to-do list

+ other types of engagement (trade shows, pop ups, collaborations, influencer programming, etc.)

  • Research is at the core of our process. You’ll learn how to do your own research and analyze the results so you can do it on your own in the future without our help. These are the same techniques we use in our PR firm.

You’ll have specific homework assignments at the end of each session based on your goals and our call. To support this work you’ll get custom google sheets or docs to use while completing your tasks.

The homework does two things: it provides a framework towards an end goal, and most importantly it helps you connect the dots yourself. Ideally you work with us for a little bit, and take those tools and use them forever. An educated client is an empowered client.

  • The way we think about PR is that it is a microphone, it can make what you're doing louder, but it cannot make it a hit song! The song — aka your work — has to already be a hit so the media will want to play it. This means that your work has to be at a certain level of excellence and you have to be presenting it to the right audience.

But how do I know if I have a *hit song?*

With 1-1 PR consulting you’ll get all the tools to make these connections yourself. We'll show you how to determine if what you're putting out is something that will resonate with the media outlets you're excited about. So, there is likely some overlap with business development coaching, but specific areas will depend on the other coach and you. We’re going to give you our take as PR specialists on how you can best appeal to the media. You may want opinions from other people about what works from their particular area of expertise and find a balance that fits your business best.

  • Every two weeks is generally the best fit for our clients as there are individual homework assignments to move the process along, however we can more or less frequent sessions depending on your needs.

All phone calls end with a list of to-dos to review on the next call. As needed we will provide you with tools like spreadsheets and forms to fill out to help streamline the process.

  • The timeline is always up to you. On our first one or two calls we plan out a timeline together that makes the most sense for you, but you can also always hit pause or cancel.

We have a five day notice policy for cancelations and two day to reschedule a phone call. We hope that this format makes individual PR consulting flexible enough to work with most schedules and financial needs.

  • Meetings are over the phone, zoon, skype or your preferred call technology. We typically do calls without video because we are vigorously taking notes throughout our sessions.
